Voxxi has joined the fray of speculation by suggesting that Colombian Cardinal Ruben Salazar Gomez is a “rising star” in the Catholic Church and could, in fact, win the papacy when the vote is cast. However, he is not the only Hispanic who is eligible for the papacy: other possible candidates include Odilo Scherer, 63, of Brazil, Leonardo Sandri, 69, of Argentina and Joao Braz de Aviz, 65, of Brazil.
