According to Latina.com, even though Lopez played white girls in her previous roles (and, in one movie — “The Wedding Planner” — she played an Italian girl), she “loves” playing Latinas. “It is always a plus because they are suited for me. I fit into and understand the role well. It’s great to be able to play a Latina. She knows how to seize an opportunity and go for it. It’s a really great message to know that it can pay off in the end,” she said.
