Cameron Diaz Offers Tips for How to Love Your Body in New Book

    Actress Cameron Diaz spoke to a packed room at the Union Square Barnes and Noble in New York City Monday night, promoting her new book The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body.

    Diaz, 41, co-wrote the book with Sandra Bark to inform readers about basic nutrition guidelines and overall mental, physical, and emotional health. When asked why she wrote the book, Diaz said it’s because she wants “people to be healthy and live their life to the fullest.”

     

    Diaz, whose Latin roots come from her father’s Cuban descent, notes at the beginning of her book that she grew up in a family where food was a part of the social and emotional landscape, and remembers gathering for “large Cuban meals” cooked by her mother.

    The actress also appears on the February cover of Self, in which she shares some workout and nutrition tips from her new book.

    Diaz told the magazine: “You shouldn’t be embarrassed to learn about your own body.”
